LOCATION: North Dakota, Dickey County between Oakes and Aberdeen
HOST: Cole & Holly are your hosts. Cole & Holly actively farm and manage this 1000+ acre privately owned ranch. Cole is an avid pheasant & deer hunter, dog man, livestock man and crop farmer. The family enjoys relating to pheasant hunters, the sport of pheasant hunting and farming for pheasants as well as running a full-time livestock and row crop operation.
LODGING: You will have private exclusive use of the Hokana Ranch lodging which consists of a 3-bedroom, 1-full bath and full kitchen ranch house that sleeps up to 10. The lodging location is nestled right in the main farming operation where Cole & Holly live. The lodging setup is located on your private exclusive hunting acreage. Your group will find comfortable spacious arrangements from which to enjoy the best friends and family experience. You don't even have to get in your vehicle if you want to hunt right out back of the house.
HUNTING: This pheasant camp boasts an abundance of hunting opportunities. You can hunt waterfowl, North Dakota Pheasants and South Dakota Pheasants all in the same day if you like. This is made possible since this camp has land in both North and South Dakota. The Hokana Ranch Pheasant Camp is the only one of the UGUIDE camps where it is possible to hunt this variety. You'll be hunting the following types of cover: Milo, corn, grass, CRP grass, cattails, sloughs and shelterbelts.
THE FARM: The Hokana Ranch Pheasant Camp is based in a private family owned working ranch for livestock and row crops. For pheasant hunting purposes, a portion of the farm is devoted to pheasant hunting and the farming for pheasants required to produce truly native wild ringneck pheasant populations.
