LOCATION: South Dakota, Douglas County near Delmont and Armour
HOST: Joe/Donna & Dwight/Carey will be your hosts. Joe & Dwight are brothers that actively farm and manage this century old 1000+ acre family farm. Joe and Donna live on the Century farm where they provide your lodging in a unique little bunkhouse near their home location in the Century Old farmstead. Dwight is an avid pheasant hunter, dog man, guide, farmer, and livestock man. The family enjoys relating to pheasant hunters, the sport of pheasant hunting and farming for pheasants as well as running a full-time livestock and row crop operation. Dwight loves pheasant hunting and can provide semi-guided and/or fully guided hunting services.
LODGING: Your lodging will be provided by Joe & Donna. The Century Farm lodging consists of a 1 bunkroom area, 1-full bath and full kitchen bunkhouse that sleeps up to 8. The lodging overlooks the century of farming operation, treebelts and livestock areas. You will enjoy watching pheasants trading back and forth during the relaxing hours of the day. There is also an area near where you stay where you can shoot trap if you like. If you have a group larger than 8, Joe and Donna also have extra bedrooms and bathroom upstairs in their house available for the larger groups.
HUNTING: This pheasant camp has a large selection of unique cover from which to hunt. The plan is for you to be able to hunt different cover each day. You'll be hunting the following types of cover: Milo, corn, CRP, cattails and shelterbelts.
THE FARM: The Century Farm Pheasant Camp is based in a private family owned working livestock and crop farming operation. For pheasant hunting purposes, a portion of the farm is devoted to pheasant hunting and the farming for pheasants required to produce truly native wild ringneck pheasant populations.
