HOST: Dennis will be your host. Dennis is the manager of a 5 quarter sections of excellent pheasant hunting acreage. Dennis is an avid pheasant hunter, bird dog man, farmer, and rancher. He enjoys relating to pheasant hunters, the sport of pheasant and deer hunting and farming for pheasants as well as running a full-time cattle and row crop operation.
LODGING: Brand new in 2008! This camp can be booked as a "land-only" hunt where you pay just the hunting fees (and stay in nearby hotel) or we have a nice cabin that sleeps 4-6 hunters comfortably, on a lake with full amenities if it is the private secluded expereince you seek.
HUNTING: You'll experience classic Aberdeen South Dakota Pheasant Hunting. Known for it's seasonal high bird numbers, Aberdeen area is in the highest of the high pheasant population areas in South Dakota and the upper midwest for that matter. You'll be hunting the following types of cover: Milo, corn, CRP, cattails, sloughs and shelterbelts.
THE FARM: The Aberdeen Pheasant Camp is based in a privately owned long-time family owned and operated working cattle and crop farming operation. For pheasant hunting purposes, a portion of the farm is devoted to pheasant hunting and the farming for pheasants required to produce truly native wild ringneck pheasant populations.
UNIQUE ADVANTAGES: The unique advantages of this pheasant camp are: High pheasant populations, diversity of cover, good late season cover ( cattail sloughs, trees), can accommodate large groups.
