The "Aberdeen" South Pheasant Camp is located 30 miles West of Aberdeen, South Dakota in Edmunds County. This Pheasant Camp is located in one of the best areas of the state for pheasant numbers in the United States. From your hunting base camp, nestled in the quaint little town of Ipswich, you'll enjoy the area amenities and the pace of a South Dakota pheasant hunting lifestyle. The lodging side of this package is located in the town of Ipswich and the hunting side is located on a working farm 10 miles south of Roscoe SD. You will enjoy the company of the host that operates a farm that has been in the family for near a century. This package can accommodate groups of 4 to 12.
1440 acres, all connected, of sloughs, corn, CRP (400+ acres), cattails, milo food plots (40 acres) and shelterbelts (4). In 2010, some corn will be planted in strips so in event the corn is not out when you hunt there will be some huntable strips of corn. This is first UGUIDE camp to pioneer this concept.
Free South Dakota Waterfowl Hunting included with your pheasant hunting package. Types of hunting will be self-guided field, jump and pothole hunting for waterfowl. Weeks 1-5 wll be prime waterfowl hunitng for ducks and possibly opportunity for geese. Licenses and hunitns must be applied for no later than July 9th.
Nice farmstead like home on edge of Ipswich SD. Ipswich has bars, restaraunts, gas station and grocery. Lodging is located within 20 minute driving distance of hunting land on good roads.
