Limits coming from Dewey county camps and Lyman county camps but most East River camps struggle as plagued by standing corn. Corn harvest only making 3% per week. Beans is going at 10% per week which would mean another 4-5 weeks to get done and then start on corn which would means corn harvest would start at large around 1st week of Dec.
FIELD CROPS REPORT
Fifty percent of the soybean crop has been harvested,
compared to 92 percent last year and 95 percent for the fiveyear
average. Twelve percent of corn has been harvested for
grain, compared to 31 percent last year and 55 percent for the
five-year average. Ninety-five percent of the winter wheat
seeding is complete, compared to 99 percent in 2008 and 100
percent for the five-year average. Eighty-five percent of the
winter wheat is emerged, compared to 88 percent last year and
92 percent for the five-year average. Ninety-six percent of the
sunflowers are rated mature, compared to 91 percent last year
and 97 percent for the five-year average. Fourteen percent of
the sunflower crop has been harvested, compared to 37
percent in 2008 and 55 percent for the five-year average.
